At a seminar sponsored by Jenkins Law Library entitled “Litigating Landlord-Tenant Disputes in Philadelphia County”, Alan Nochumson explained the nuances of litigating landlord-tenant disputes in Philadelphia County.
During the seminar, Nochumson discussed, among other things, the notice requirements due to a tenant under state law, the defenses a tenant has to non-payment of rent, and the rationale for filing a complaint in The Philadelphia Municipal Court or the Court of Common Pleas.
The following are some of the written comments Nochumson received afterwards from those individuals who attended the seminar: “A lot of info in a short amount of time!”, “Good overview of landlord/tenant litigation in Phila County”, “Very knowledgeable speaker”, “Practical knowledge & experience appreciated”, “Lively atmosphere”, “Practicality of advice was amazing”, “Awesome!”, “Clearly knowledgeable about the subject matter”, “Quite engaging; plethora of info”, and “Alan was interesting and kept it moving”.
