Stay-At-Home Order Extended and Evictions and Foreclosures in Pennsylvania Stayed Until July 10th

In regards to pending foreclosure and eviction matters that were previously filed, the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County and Municipal Court remain closed through May 29th and any trials and/or hearings that had been scheduled between March 16th and May 29th have been postponed.  For those landlords who had previously obtained judgments for possession, the issuance and execution of residential writs of possession to evict are stayed through June 1, 2020.

The Philadelphia Sheriff’s Mortgage Foreclosure Sale scheduled for June 2nd and all Philadelphia Tax Sales scheduled for June have been postponed to September.
