About

Amanda Dougherty is Of Counsel to the firm. She focuses her practice on real estate-related litigation with a specialty in real estate tax assessment appeals, including annual challenges, as well as real estate tax abatement and exemption appeals.

Amanda’s experience with property tax issues eventually led the First Judicial District Board of Judges to appoint her to sit on the Philadelphia’s Board of Revision of Taxes from 2019 to 2022, where she heard and decided upon thousands of real estate tax assessment appeals. You can learn more about Amanda’s real estate tax practice on her blog, www.phillypropertytax.com, which she regularly updates with current case law and legal analysis.

Prior to joining the firm, Amanda worked in the litigation department of a midsize Philadelphia firm with preeminent tax and real estate practices and at a boutique law firm in Philadelphia that specializes in real estate law. She is conversational in Mandarin and received her LL.M. in Chinese Law through Temple University’s LL.M. in Asian Law program.

When she is not practicing the law, Amanda can be found camping in Pennsylvania’s Tuscarora and Michaux state forests. She has fostered and volunteered for both PAWS and PSPCA and is a former Vice Chair of the Philadelphia LGBTQ Bar Association.
